My Garden 2004

I got off to a great start this spring - early. My strawberry pot bio-filter had the water sparkling clear by early May. If you want instructions to make one for yourself, visit last year's reflections page.
	Unfortunately, I was involved in an auto accident mid May that left me unable to do my usual gardening. Fortunately, my Early Spring Cleaning was done and I had enough perennials planted to enjoy some blossoms - as I could do little more than look this summer.

The Fight against Mosquitos - Year Two

I transferred some of my mosquito fish to an aquarium indoors for the winter as I did not believe fish born in New Orleans would survive the cold midwest winter.
To my surprise, the fish remaining in the pond did survive! And I even had once incident of heater failure causing a complete freeze over! And, like last year, there were NO Mosquitos in my Pond this summer!
