Welcome to My Garden 2003

As Usual, get one job done, start another
retaining wall finally done, new Bog and Waterfall.

And, all because my little boy came home dragging a pond...

Bad weather losses left me with lots of new faces in my yard... Acer palmatum Hogyoku Maple graces stream bed. Acer palmatum Sango kaku commands his own space. The delightful white tipped leaves of my Acer platanoides 'Drummondii' maple are silhouetted against the far cedar tree when viewed from my kitchen sink. Crepe Myrtle at pond's edge is getting ready to bloom. Bamboo along retaining wall firmly establishing itself. Wonderful Hibiscus on top of waterfall. The Columbine behind St. Francis put on an incredible show this year. Yes that is a real Banana Tree peaking out from behind the Chiminea. (Pinion pine wood burned in Chiminea clears yard of Mosquitoes!!!)

June brought new neighbors and required new fence - which is only partially complete and hiding behind all the elephant ears and cannas.

Strawberry pot biofilter is leaving once the new 'store bought' filter takes hold....

Update: New 'store bought' filter biofilter Never did Work.....

much better than 2002 or 2000!
